Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Junior Buyer / Assistant Buyer / Procurement Co-Ordinator / Purchasing Assistant to join an established and growing heavy engineering business in Coventry. Established in 1981 and supplying products globally they have seen year on year growth and are currently looking to double turnover over the next 3 years. In line with this they are looking to recruit 2 additional Junior buying / procurement professionals to join their team. Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain your duties are likely to include: Responsibility for purchasing raw materials Processing purchasing orders Sourcing new / additional suppliers Supplier Negotiation Working closely with the wider supply chain and productions teams Reporting and keeping track of price fluctuations and availability Building relationships with suppliers and internal departments This role would suit an analytical and organised individual, with strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will have the ability to prepare, analyse and report KPI’s frequently. Ideally you should have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar purchasing or support role, with previous experience in heavy engineering, fabrication or machine build environments being desirable.
