FINANCE DIRECTOR, PRIVATE EQUITY BACKED SME POSITION BASED LONDON OR WEST YORKSHIRE THE COMPANY The company is a growing private equity backed SME in the energy efficiency and building sector. They are based in London and West Yorkshire. Along with continued organic growth they will be growing by acquisition with an intended exit in c.4-5 years. They now require a commercial and hands on Finance Director with an interest in energy efficiency. The Finance Director will be rewarded with equity participation. THE POSITION The position can be based London or West Yorkshire. The Finance Director will be a key part of the small leadership and management team, working closely with the Managing Director and operating directors. Additionally, the Finance Director will work closely with the private equity investor managing and completing acquisitions. This is a wide-ranging role from hands on through to commercial, strategic and acquisitions. Responsibilities include: Strategic and commercial support to fellow management Acquisitions- managing the acquisitions process and integrating acquisitions Management and development of accounting systems and the finance function Full financial control, monthly, quarterly management and annual reporting Financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting Ad hoc projects and input to business operations THE CANDIDATE For this position, the candidate will require acquisitions experience and strong commercial acumen. You will be a qualified accountant with strong academics and ideally an interest in energy efficiency. Experience in the building and construction sector is preferred. You should be prepared to be hands on and a commercial business finance partner with full involvement acquisitions. Salary package includes basic salary, bonus and equity participation.
