Overview
London This is an exciting time to be joining one of the largest publishing houses in the UK as the business is growing rapidly and market leader in their space. This role will combine business partnering alongside technical aspects of prepayments, accruals, data analysis aspects of finance in order to make a real contribution to the success of the business. The Finance Analyst will cover the production, cost and stock aspects of the business. You will support senior stakeholders and be responsible for: Ensuring all production costs and stock in the business is accurate and be responsible for reporting with detailed analysis Provide commentary on production cost variances to budgets / forecast along with monthly meetings with Production for results review Report and analyse stock levels, liaising with the production team to manage manufacturing costs and analysis cost of sales, wastage and stock balances Accounting, analysis and forecast of costs. Compile Month and Year end accounts for manufacturing costs, management account schedules for balance sheet, stock and cash flow. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, manage accruals, prepayments and provision journals Calculate monthly exchange differences, monthly charge and monthly imputed interest charge The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified and have previous experience either in industry or straight from practice / Audit. A naturally analytical individual with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
