Overview

A charity are looking for a Partnerships and Development Manager to based in Belfast. This role will be responsible for identifying national partnership opportunities and funding options that can be used to build capacity to deliver the best mix of national and local services for the charity's beneficiaries. You will generate income from these opportunities by influencing funders and commissioners, presenting compelling proposals and negotiating creative agreements. Key Responsibilities: -To identify potential funding sources for new / current projects and services from the full range of funding bodies -To lead on funding applications at a national level with major grant awarding bodies and health boards, negotiating with stakeholders, securing agreement and closing deals. -To project-manage bid development groups including project and service managers, finance colleagues, and other internal and external partners leading to submission of high quality funding applications and proposals -Build and maintain strong partnerships to unify the sector and others (e.g. other charities, businesses and public sector bodies) -To work with Network Managers to harness local engagement and build community leadership as the basis for proposals to grant funders and statutory providers. -To contribute to the Partnership Plan by working with colleagues and external partners to identify and prioritise funding requirements, maximising income to support partnership working. -To contribute to Partnerships annual budgeting and planning processes. -To work in partnership with project and service managers in monitoring progress and ensuring timely reporting to funders and the charity. Skills and Experience required: Experience of generating large ( £100,000) grants from Lottery, statutory or European funders, or from other institutional funders -Well developed negotiating and influencing skills ability to shape funders' decisions around criteria of forthcoming funding programmes -Experience of research, preparation and delivery of funding proposals for both existing and new funders / external customers. -Experience of project management -Experience of using business planning tools and techniques -Experience of generating workable solutions and make rational judgements -Experience of developing financial and resource proposals for new and existing projects/services supported by effective monitoring and evaluation criteria. -Experience of producing income and expenditure budgets.
