Overview
My client based in Hayes are seeking a Trade Counter Assistant to join their expanding team. With good transport links and free parking available, the company offer a bonus scheme for their staff. Job duties: Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about products and services. To assist customers to identify solutions to fit their needs, generating sales, whilst continuing to achieve customer satisfaction levels. Deal directly with customers either by telephone or face to face. Respond promptly to customer queries in a professional and friendly manner. Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service enquiries. Advise customers on products. Provide pricing and delivery information. Receive and process orders on behalf of customer in an efficient and accurate manner. Develop strong relationships with customers. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, via telephone or electronically. Competencies / Characteristics: Previous trade counter experience is preferable, with a good knowledge of products within construction, electrical, plumbing, roofing industries all beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Problem solving skills. Ability to multi task and prioritise. Sound computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Appreciation and an interest in providing exceptional customer service. Excellent interpersonal skills (Positive, motivated)
