Finance Manager / Financial Controller - SUPERB ROLE McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working on an Exclusive basis with a B2C company in Central London who have vast expansion plans over the next 4-5 years. As a business that is still in its "fast-growth & entrepreneurial" phase and started in 2016, it is now seeking its first Financial Controller to join the Senior Management team, and help the business double revenues each year for the next four years. Reporting to the COO and working in a sole-charge role where you will build your own Finance team in due course, key duties for the position include: Preparing monthly accounts for UK investors of the two companies, including preparing & updating month-end schedules Ensuring additional quarterly reporting requirements are adhered to for Senior Management review. Preparing initial budgets for US investors to review and finalise. Providing cashflow budgets for the cash drawdown from the US, reconciling funds expended in the previous month. Producing payslips and ensuring all relevant tax filings are completed, dealing with both staff & HMRC payroll queries Reviewing current financial processes & procedures, making changes as required Financial planning as the business grows, understanding it’s impact on the Finance function and putting action plans in place Recruiting a new Finance team as the business grows, likely to include Clerk and Part-Qualified level Accountants Reviewing the Outsourced payroll provider and accounting firm, determining whether this could be done in-house more effectively Processing all invoices, payments & credit management for the Group company and subsidiaries Overseeing the work of one off-site staff member who processes local invoices and prepares payment runs. Ensuring all invoices are sent to UK investors for additional approval, reviewing petty cash and posting entries at month end. Liaising with the Top40 external accountants regarding finalising year-end statutory accounts Liaising with the external payroll provider regarding monthly payroll for 70 employees across 2 companies Reviewing credit card expenditure across the Group and posting entries into Xero Accounts Importing bank accounts for the Group and 3 subsidiary companies, ensuring all entries are reconciled To be considered for the role you should be a Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant, ideally degree educated with at least 5 years post-qualified experience in a growing SME or larger corporate business where you are seeking broader responsibilities, or from Practice and seeking your first role in Industry. You should have excellent day-to-day transactional accounting experience, along with the ability to plan & grow the Finance function and team as the business expands, ensuring both strategic plans & tight financial processes are in place to cope with the increasing workload as the business matures. Excellent relationship-building skills are required as you will be interacting with internal Senior Management, Corporate Advisers and External Investors, and you should be a strong team manager as you will be recruiting your own Finance team as the business expands. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and ideally Xero Accounts would also be an advantage for this position. On offer is a salary up to £60,000 depending on qualification and experience, with benefits to include company pension & healthcare schemes, and 25 days holiday.
