Overview
Reed Finance have been retained by a FTSE listed life sciences business to recruit for a technically strong, qualified accountant to join the finance team as the Finance Manager. This role will report to the Head of Finance and will be a key member of the Legal and Finance team (of 7). The position will have line management responsibilities for a junior accountant. Financial Reporting Responsibility for the financial reporting for the listed parent and all group companies, including the management of the production of statutory accounts (IFRS). Liaison with auditors and other professional advisers as necessary and preparation of associated accounting papers. Working with the investor relations team to ensure timely and accurate quarterly reporting. Fund accounting Responsible for financials of a dedicated fund as well as the month end process for the investment group. Working with internal partners and external service providers for all reporting, depository and custodian activities. Treasury and cashflow forecasting Management of the treasury function including £/€/$ current and deposit accounts, Treasury bills and day to day liquidity. Reporting the capital pool on a weekly basis and annual cash flow demand on a monthly basis. Management Reporting Ensuring that internal business partners are updated on a monthly basis with regard to performance and variance analysis. Working with the Head of Finance on the budgets and drafting reports for the Board packs. Compliance Working with the CFO and in-house Legal Counsel to ensure compliance within a FCA regulated environment. Production and submission of FCA reports.
