Caring for your Career’ Clinical Governance Manager The Horder Centre, Crowborough £37,570 - £43,772 Horder Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Healthcare Professional to manage our Clinical Governance team. The successful person would be the lead on hospital Clinical Governance and work closely with the Head of Clinical Governance in leading clinical quality and the Clinical Governance strategy within the hospital. This role suits an effective leader with demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety agendas, great attention to detail and fairness in investigation and management of complaints and incidents. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that robust governance and risk systems are in place and that effective learning and continuous development take place across the organisation. Must Haves Education to Degree level or equivalent Registered qualification in medicine/nursing/AHPs Extensive relevant experience in an acute hospital setting Clinical experience, to include the following: Experience of training and educating staff Experience of undertaking risk assessments and contributing to the local risk register Experience investigating incidents and complaints Experience in working with a broad range of staff Knowledge of Databases, MS Word and Excel Demonstrate an understanding of the role CQC Advanced report writing skills Ability to work within a multi-professional team and to develop team working Presentation skills Highly motivated with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills and an ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with all professional disciplines Ability to analyse highly complex clinical issues/problems, identify necessary action and make recommendations and follow these through Pro-active approach to problem solving with a proven ability in the formation and drafting of policy/strategy within national guidelines Awareness for the need of confidentiality Leaderships skills Articulate Flexible approach to working hours and practices Nice to Haves Post Graduate Qualification in Risk Management or equivalent experience Additional RCA risk management training/education Datix Awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 As a thank you for your passion in delivering exceptional patient care, we’ll care for your career, with rewards and opportunities that aren’t just good - they’re exceptional.
