As a retail bank there are a number of exciting projects afoot form digitalisation, data analytics and the advancement of risk management practices. Our client is a highly regarded and forward thinking organisation and they are looking to appoint a Senior Technology Auditor to join them on the next phase of their customer focused journey. Your new role The Senior Technology auditor will be joining an established and growing team in Edinburgh. you'll take the lead on engagements, providing assurance and independent audit opinions. The department is focused on keeping customer security and risk prevention across technology and therefore there will be significant interaction engaging with business stakeholders to gain an understanding of key business risks to inform the risk assessment and audit plan. It is critical that you have a good understanding and interest in IT and interacting with stakeholders across various systems, platforms and applications. This is a creative role where you will support the current audit plan and execute best practice across IT Audit environments in addition to process improvement and looking ahead to digital world we live in now and the future to promote risk prevention. What you'll need to succeed You will have experience within a technology team with a strong understanding of good risk management practices and knowledge of key IT risks and will have an analytical approach to processes, systems and controls to advance business efficiencies and will have an appetite to continually learn and develop. To be successful in this role you will need to use your knowledge and experience to provide independent challenge on audit results, influencing stakeholders' perspectives to ensure that risks are appropriately managed.
