Overview

Infrastructure Consultant - Network & Security - Checkpoint Infrastructure Consultant - Network & Security - Checkpoint My client a leading educational organisation are looking to recruit a network consultant based in there London office. You will support, maintain, monitor and develop network and security infrastructure and will provide support to all UK Offices and international offices. You will provide technical support for project delivery from initial design through implementation and support. Securing both WAN and LAN by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access. You are required to: Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation and cutover of the WAN/LAN links. Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres, regional offices and head offices. liaising with project management team, 3rd line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis; Reactive and pro-active fault management and providing resolution. Speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture. Managing upgrades within a time manner. Conduct PoC of any new projects that involves network and Security changes. Coordinate with different teams to understand their requirement and provide a secure solution to facilitate the completion of the project. Monitor fault tickets, prioritise, and track progress as appropriate. Problems resolved within SLA targets. Ensure relevant and accurate information available to assist in fault diagnosis. Experience with network design, admin and troubleshooting in heavily virtualised environment. Testing cycles documented and performed in accordance with project and SLA targets. Change management, problem management, service introduction manages to agreed targets. Manage relationships with telecom carriers and hosted data centre providers Coordinate with the suppliers for quotes and support contracts. Key Skills- Experience of working as part of experienced technical teams Managing support infrastructure for multiple users across WAN and LAN. Co-ordination and prioritisation of complex parallel production incidents and problems through to resolution. Working across a mix of technology platforms and environments. With a personal track record of supporting medium and large-scale business solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners. Advance knowledge and experience with Cisco networking and configuration, Cisco Core and access switches, ASA firewalls, Cisco firepower, Cisco umbrella, Juniper firewalls, Cisco ISE. Experience with WIFI management. Experience with Checkpoint firewalls. Sound knowledge and experience with Azure networking. Citrix netscalars and cloud bridges experience. Very strong troubleshooting skills. Experience of Microsoft DHCP and RADUIS servers. Azure virtual networking. Desirable- Advanced technical knowledge and experience Windows server environments Advanced knowledge of security and compliance standards, Experience with supporting Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 6x platforms Microsoft Active Directory.
