School Finance Assistant Required for Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea Finance Assistant required in Kensington and Chelsea. At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic School Finance Assistant to work full-time at a fantastic primary school in Kensington and Chelsea. Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality office staff to work with these schools. Working hours are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30, full-time, all year round. About the role Duties: Purchase Ledger • To accurately maintain and update supplier data within the purchase ledger. • To record on the purchase ledger all supplier invoices received within the Finance Department and distribute to budget holders for authorisation. Banking • To ensure that all General and Fee bank account transactions are posted on a daily basis ensuring that receipts and payments are allocated to the relevant accounts. • To record monthly bank account transactions in respect of the Schools’ other bank accounts. School Trips • To assist the Finance Manager with approving the costings for all school trips. Credit Cards • To send out credit card statements to cardholders on a monthly basis and to ensure that they are returned with all supporting receipts and budget codes. The ideal applicant will have Experience of working in a school Knowledge and experience of standard accounting procedures within Purchase Ledger. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. Experience of working in a highly demanding and busy finance department. High level of computer literacy and experience of ICT systems, particularly Sage and Excel. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to effectively communicate with staff and suppliers. Experience in an educational environment. Ability to prioritise and organise workload. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A team player, willing to support other members of the team as necessary.
