Hardware Engineer Location - Edinburgh Salary - £31,500 - £60,000 A world leading Defence Technology company are looking to recruit a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their support team in Edinburgh. You will focus on providing technical advice to Test Engineers on complex RF, Power and Digital assemblies. As a Hardware Engineer, your key responsibilities will include: Technical day to day support for repair and upgrade issues Identification and reporting of Pattern Fault instances to the Design Authority for consideration of design changes to the main equipment;Identification and implementation of improvements that will positively impact the test, debug and turnaround time associated with repairs and upgrades; Training of debug personnel on troubleshooting complex Digital, RF and Power Supply circuitry. Skills and knowledge required: Test and debug of RF assemblies, high density Digital PCAs and PSUs; SAP, in particular XMII; Knowledge of the Captor T1/T2 Product and Test Processes; Ability to resolve complex failure situations in a timely manner; Ability to communicate effectively at all levels from the Shop Floor, to Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management and International Customers; Identifying improvement and overseeing its implementation through to closure; Mentoring skills to pass on knowledge to test and debug personnel.
