Job description: London Based Financial Services firm see a Production Support Engineer, you will have worked on trading Applications, experience supporting FIX Protocol, ?Oracle / SQL (select Statements), Linux (Log files, file systems) able to read XML scheme. This is a Trading Technical Support role, any experience with Fixed Income products, order and trade flow and eTrading platforms would be beneficial. Configuration and management of vendor or bespoke monitoring toolsets. Good understanding of networking fundamentals. Understanding of LAN & WAN topologies & protocols desirable. Emphasis on FIX, Oracle and Linux. Provide cover to the Live and Test trading systems, ensuring smooth running of trading system servers and services. Support external users of different interfaces (sFTP/FIX/MQ). Provide networking and connectivity support. Monitoring system servers and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place. Raise and track issues through the use of the helpdesk ticketing mechanism. Form part of the Global support roster that provides support in European hours between 8am and 6pm. Participate in Weekend support rosters and support and assist out of hours where necessary. Provide technical support to the external Clients. Provide 2nd line support services for client services and account management teams. ?
