Overview

My client, a world renowed business based in the City of London is seeking a Reporting Accountant to join them during an exciting period of change/growth. OBJECTIVES To contribute to the achievement of the orgnaisation's business plan objectives and to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by: Deliver accurate and relevant group month-end accounts, budgets, forecasts and supporting management information within set deadlines. Produce accurate and meaningful financial reports and business analysis to help senior managers and key budget holders to understand performance and to successfully deliver against KPI targets. RESPONSIBILITIES Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting Full responsibility for the production and accuracy of the Group's consolidated monthly management accounts, within agreed deadlines. Full responsibility for the production and accuracy of the Group's consolidated budgets and forecasts, working closely with the Finance business partnering team. Assist the Financial Controller in the production of financial reports and analysis for the Board Support the timely production of the financial elements of the monthly performance pack. Full responsibility for the completion and correctness of all balance sheets reconciliations, to set deadlines. Developing reporting models and templates Full responsibility for the development of month end reporting, budget and forecast models and templates, adapting to changes in the business model, and continuously improving efficiencies and user experience. Support the Finance business partnering team in the update and development of financial models for the projection of income and costs, pricing decisions, business cases, returns on investment and any other financial analysis. Support the Finance business partnering team in development of financial reporting models which use to principles of Activity Based Costing to give better insight on margins. Use Microsoft BI or other similar applications to develop reporting models that combine both financial and volume data Develop and maintain a cash flow forecast model to drive decisions on treasury deposits that can be efficiently updated after month end results and forecasts. Develop and improve the year-end reporting model to efficiently and accurately support the production of year end statutory accounts for all Group companies Take advantage of any new functionality in available applications to improve reporting models and templates. Business partnering Support the Finance business partnering team in the delivery of accurate, timely and value- added analysis, attending business team meetings, if appropriate. Represent Finance in task and working groups in the development of reporting to support a project or initiative; taking the lead where appropriate. THE IDEAL PERSON Qualified Accountant Advanced user of Excel Strong presentation skills with an eye for good report design. Strong time management skills. Experience of improving the production and presentation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial reports. Experience of manipulating high volumes of data from different sources to produce meaningful analysis. Experience of creating financial reporting models to solve or provide more insight into a complex issue or problem.
