Overview
Randstad CPE are currently working with the UK's leading facilities management and professional services to recruit a lead figure into their commercial team for one of their biggest and most prestigious contracts. The role will be based out of Leeds. Job Description Work as part of the Account Management team - lead all Commercials, consulting / advising on Commercial / Contractual matters with the wider team. Achieve the EBIT target (as set by the Commercial Director / Account Director) Manage the team to complete key deliverables such as; commercial deliverables, varations to contract and updates to contract. Lead the processing & negotiation of significant variations to the contract. Ensure that there is a programme of compliance checks in place to ensure that internal stakeholders are complying with the processes in the contract and working in accordance with the Commercial Plan. Where a Commercial Plan is not in place, or the commercial controls are inadequate, devise and implement a Commercial Plan and / or bespoke commercial processes to deliver the P&L, cash and contractual requirements (e.g. contract obligations tracker, mapping out procedural requirement, etc). Provide appropriate training to key operational and financial stakeholders such that they understand their role in delivering the Commercial Plan, Profit Improvement Plan and ensuring compliance with the commercial controls and processes (e.g. raising variation requests in good time, preparing applications for payment, etc); Carry out such ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the Commercial Director, including but limited to: Reviewing the profitability of accounts identified as failing to achieve the required minimum margin contribution and implementing the appropriate strategy (turnaround, re-price, terminate, etc) Providing adequate support to Operational teams and other support functions on a "needs must basis" Providing procedural advice to operational teams and other support functions Lead or support resolution of claims / disputes Major contract renegotiations / extensions support Special projects (e.g. IFRS15 commercial reviews). Person Specification Demonstrable track record of commercial management of an IFM contract > £50m per annum Commercial Management experience (10 years essential) Appropriate professional or academic qualification (e.g. MRICS) Strong understanding of contract management and FM contract models Strong understanding of contract payment mechanisms and performance failure mitigation, SLA & KPI's Strong report preparation and presentation skills Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively with demanding clients and customer Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products especially Excel and Word Good negotiation skills If this role is of interest to you please click apply or call Olivia Lawson on for more information.
