Overview
Desktop Support Engineer An established and growing IT solutions provider is looking to recruit an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to be based predominantly on one of their client’s sites in Ormskirk, Lancashire together with additional travel to other sites in Hertfordshire, West Midlands and Somerset when required. Reporting into the Senior IT Technician, the successful individual will be responsible for providing support to end users as well as the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of the company’s desktop computing environment. This will include installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining PC and printer hardware, supporting Windows 10 desktop and 2012 – 2019 server operating systems, Office 365, Active Directory and TCP/IP including DHCP/DNS. The successful individual is likely to be qualified to CompTIA A, MCP’s or equivalent and demonstrate previous experience of working in a similar role; have strong hands on hardware and software troubleshooting experience together with an excellent telephone manner and strong communications. This position is offering a salary in the region of £23,000 - £25,000, Company Car, laptop, mobile phone, company pension, 22 days holiday bank holidays and a 35 hour working week.
