Overview
No parking due to central location Our client based in Reading is recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. The main aspect of the role will be working with business representatives to gather requirements and capture these in the most appropriate documentation. It is likely to include process maps, functional specifications and the ability to capture 'member journeys' that will form the basis of the new member site. We want to develop a market leading proposition around providing information to these members This information will sometimes be scheme wide -messages and content that apply to all members - and sometimes member specific(information on their individual pensions savings and benefits) All of this will be delivered by a website -which we are calling 'the member portal' The project lifecycle is from conceptual ideas to an implemented solution Delivering to potentially thousands of members ,in both DB and DC schemes The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and ambitious, with a real desire to help us deliver a market-leading web technology solutions (agnostic in nature) to our clients and their members. The candidate will be part of a small focussed team of specialists from a range of functions/businesses, including our Business Services Group, to deliver innovative and leading edge technology solutions that provide our clients with new approaches to help educate and engage with scheme members, Trustees and sponsors. Key areas that will be developed within the website are; new member journeys, DC modelling, DB modelling, reporting and member profiling. Working with front-end designers to produce eye catching and state of the art delivery solutions. To assist in the UAT of newly developed functionality is also a key part of the role As a senior business analyst you will be expected to provide support and guidance to the project and any less experienced analysts involved. Main duties and Responsibilities. Essential The ability to help the Group deliver a market-leading web proposition, with the passion to deliver solutions for sponsors and members, making a difference to our clients and their member's financial education in the future. Well organised and positive attitude with the ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage their work. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving, organisational and planning skills. Ability to work well under pressure, across multiple workstreams; delivering to time and quality standards. Good oral and written communication skills, able to present complicated business matters to potential non-pensions technical users. Produces consistent and high-quality results. Understanding of defined benefit and defined contribution pensions processing and data. Strong ability to break down pensions processing into simple to understand steps that can then be turned into requirements that will drive the new web portal. Able to follow instructions, procedures and assimilate information quickly in a consistent manner. Liaising with the business representatives to gather detailed requirements. Liaising with the Systems Analysts to take the requirements and turn them into deliverable solutions. Create process diagrams and workflows for data and calculations that will drive the web site functionality. Assisting with UAT, test case selection and ensuring the completed documentation for the new system is "fit for purpose". Have worked with pension products across a number of systems and platforms. Desirable Experience of being involved in projects that have developed web sites and web site content. Proficient knowledge in benefit structures and calculation requirements for DB, DC and Hybrid pension schemes is desirable. Have worked with Web developers to design and implement solutions from 'clean slate' Experience of working directly with clients and business representatives to evaluate their requirements and develop solutions.
