Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, multi-tasker to join the market leader in global research of the alcohol beverage market for the next stage of growth following private equity investment in 2018. . in Clerkenwell, the Finance Assistant will report into the Chief Finance Officer and will work closely with the Group Management Accountant to form the foundation of our best in class finance team. Main Purpose of Role: The company’s main incomes come from high value, repeatable subscription revenues billed to customers based all over the globe. This role will look after both Sales and Purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing on Sage and utilising online systems for Expense processing and Sales invoicing. The role also includes Credit Control and experience in this area (especially dealing with foreign customers) is essential. Responsibilities: Timely, accurate processing of all sales and purchase invoices on Sage (to be replaced with a new system later this year) Ensuring correct use of VAT codes and FX rates Monitoring bank accounts and recording all payments Month end bank reconciliations Setting up payment runs for approval (we use Natwest Bankline) Credit control and dealing with customer billing queries Expense processing (we use a system called Rydoo) and payments Main point of contact for general finance queries (monitoring of our shared finance email address) Skills & Experience: Part qualified accountant (study support is available) Experience of Sage 50 Accounts Experience of multi-currency invoice processing Experience of credit control Excellent Excel skills Attention to detail Experience of working in a small finance team M&A experience desirable but not essential. Roll up your sleeves attitude to ad hoc projects and reporting requests.
