About the Nursery Airsupply is recruiting for a growing social enterprise that helps children have fun, feel free and explore their inner strengths through playful learning in nature. Due to ongoing growth, our client is now looking for a full time Deputy Manger to join our dedicated team, working in Putney and Fulham If you are passionate about inspiring children and enjoy scaffolding their learning in the incredible outdoors – this role will be hugely rewarding for you. We’d like to hear from you if you have experience in leading and co –leading settings for developing 2-5 year olds, have a minimum Level 3 qualification & want to be part of a brilliant closely knit fun team where you will be able to make your mark on a young and growing social business that engages with children in early years, primary school and their families. The Benefits - Salary is competitive depending on experience - 28 days’ holiday pro rata plus Bank Holidays - Tailored development to support your learning and professional goals - Mentoring in planning and delivering sessions Your Role Fostering an inspiring, safe and positive environment for learners, you will: · Work under the direction of the Manager, deputise for him / her and step up and lead the setting when required · Support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children from birth to eight years · Provide high standards of care and early learning including the monitoring and review of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities · Support the team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop · Direct and coach staff as agreed by the Manager. · Build positive relationships with parents and guardians About You To join us as our Deputy Manager, you will need: · Experience in leading / co leading an early years setting · Skills and excellence in safeguarding procedures and practice, positive behaviour management and coaching teams. · A passion for creative, outdoor, child-led learning · The ability to work creatively with music, art and maths to inspire children · Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work closely with parents and child development practitioners Additional skills that could be an advantage to your application: · Experience of other methods of teaching including: Forest school, Reggio Emilio, Montessori and Steiner · A Forest School Leader qualification · First Aid training
