Overview
The opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Financial Controller to join a leading independent marketing services agency located in the heart of London. This role is the sole Finance point of contact for the business, and the successful candidate must be able to work closely with people of all backgrounds - senior stakeholders, creative directors, account directors and managers, to explain the workings of the finance team into non-finance terms. The role is a really exciting chance to join a business at a pivotal time of growth, and the Financial Controller will be integral in leading the change and driving profitability of the business. Reporting directly into senior management, your roles and responsibilities will include: Overall control of the agency's accounting function, budget reporting and financial compliance Supervising a small finance team Working closely with the senior management team providing financial planning and related ongoing advice. Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the managing team and updates thereafter of progress against budget. Responsible for monthly management accounts, client income forecasts, time cost reports and other reports prepared by the dept. Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies and taxation authorities are met. Implement internal controls and procedures to ensure proper management of the agency's assets and expenditure. Reviewing charge out rates and assisting with fee proposals, procurement submissions and contract reviews. Prepare and supervise the audit Oversee management of payroll for the team The ideal candidate: Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA Experience in marketing / media services businesses, preferably exposure to independent agencies. Exposure to working with non-financial management team. Evidence of commercial focus and successful initiatives Experience with Paprika/Maconomy/Cathesis or another large ERP an advantage.
