Overview
An established Underwriting Agency, recognised as one of the market leaders for writing Schemes business are actively recruiting a Commercial Underwriter for their Bromley office. Based in the general contractors’ team, you will work closely alongside the Underwriting Head in rating and underwriting specific risks within your own underwriting authority levels. You will be proactive and demonstrate good risk appetite when writing both new business and renewals and when negotiating with brokers. Risks will be Commercial Combined and Liability led and will range from SME to Mid Corporate level. Day to day you will also be responsible for managing and developing relationships with select Insurance Brokers, that vary from your local high street brokers to your large corporate global organisations. My client is seeking a confident individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Commercial Liabilities Insurance policies. This can be within an Insurer, MGA or even a Broking background, providing you have experience in rating risks via an internal underwriting guide. Our client use both SSP and an internal bespoke system of which full training will be provided. Please note that all first stage interviews are to take place as soon as possible and will be telephone or video/skype based.
