Overview
Infrastructure Team Lead Your new company Hays are working closely with a public-sector organisation whom are recruiting for a Infrastructure Team Lead to join their IT Technology Delivery team at their head office in Leicester. Your new role The organisation is going through an exciting time as they introduce a new digital programme and this role would the right candidate to introduce a new way of working. You will be reporting to the Technology Delivery & Support Manager and will be responsible for Senior and Assistant Technical Specialists. You will take a range of IT Services where successful is measured on achieving business goals, performance target and agreed service levels. Day to day you will be providing operational management of the IT infrastructure services with designated support teams. You will also be expected to provide direction and guidance on all technical aspects of IT Infrastructure. What you'll need to succeed Other duties include: You will manage a team of IT technicians in Network Services, Database & Storage Services and Client and Desktop Services You will define, document and complete complex technical projects and direct project team members and advise clients throughout You will manage the whole lifecycle of the supported service Monitoring and maintaining the effectiveness of service delivery ensuring KPIs are used effectively You will take responsibility for detailed build/test plans and unit, system and disaster recovery testing You will also monitor and control team performance against plans What you'll get in return In return you will get the chance to work in a fantastic environment and bring in fresh ideas to a well established team.
