Overview
Infrastructure Team Leader Location: Leicester Salary: Up to 45k Who you work for is important. A bad boss stands in your way. A good one? Well, they’ll recognise your abilities and give you room to fly. The Head of Infrastructure at this company has only recently joined and the IT Director has already described him as one of the company’s best ever hires into the IT department. You’ll be working closely with someone who you can trust and shares your passion for delivering great things and progressing. His team manage the infrastructure for this large company, and all of the projects that come with that. He’s looking for the Robin to his Batman. Someone who can work with him to help manage the team and strategy for the department. Your day to day tasks will never be the same, you will be both reactive and proactive. Whilst I am not looking for an out and out infrastructure engineer it will be great if you have a hands-on approach with infrastructure. Experience in designing & implementing infrastructure plans is a must as well as strong leadership skills shown through regular 1-1s with your team. It’ll give you the credibility needed with the engineers as they really know their stuff and need a manager who talks their talk. There are lots of things to like here. It’s a company who have made a concerted effort to move into the 21st century with their tech, with record investment across technology, a growing IT team and huge ambitions to make tech a key enabler in what is quite a traditional sector.
