About the Client Our client is a London UK based non-profit think tank working on the cutting edge of climate and sustainability issues. Their highly original analysis of the climate agenda has been covered by media globally, used and acted on by hundreds of investors and has informed numerous campaigns. They are probably best known for their unique platform for analyzing corporate lobbying on climate policy. Other work streams are the FinanceMap platform assessing the financial sector and its impact on climate as well as a Japanese collaborative venture. They are globally recognized for the integrity of their work in tracking corporate lobbying on climate policy About the Role You will be a key member of their team assessing climate change lobbying. This part of their work has had a major impact on the global climate agenda so far and they are expanding their coverage of industry sectors, policy areas and geographies. You will work closely with the Director of the corporate lobbying program and other analysts in the team. As an analyst in this team you will receive full training in their research methods and how to effectively communicate their results. After you have demonstrated your ability to do this, you will work on and develop a particular specialism in terms of sector, policy area or geography. You will be the lead analyst in this area and will when needed, generate media focused and other output to communicate their results to their partners. Their approach is highly data-orientated and involves accuracy, consistency and excellent attention to detail. Their work is in widespread use by finance, the media and other stakeholders and they thus place great importance on the ability to communicate their content (both written and verbal) in a similar manner. Key Responsibilities: This is a data and analysis intensive role; your responsibilities will be reflective of your skills in being thorough, consistent and scientific in your work Tracking and analyzing information according to their proprietary systems Helping devise and improve their methodology Communicating their content verbally and in written summary both internally and to their external users You will report to the Project Director and work closely with team members to ensure you have all the information you need to do your job. You will be empowered to be assertive and use your initiative in this role.
