Overview

Aerospace component investment casting facility based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, requires an experienced Product Engineer with casting industry experience. Working as part of a team, the Product Engineer / Part Engineer will introduce, manage and develop trials, and validate new parts through to production. Also, improve, control and reduce scrap of existing products to meet customer and company expectations. Interact with the customer and suppliers on engine component programs and tasks to ensure they meet their requirements. Monday to Friday 7.30 a.m. start, 12.00 finish Fridays. 38 hours. Product Engineer requirements: Previous experience in Investment Casting and Product Development Engineering Degree or equivalent in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering CAD experience Part Engineer / Product Engineer responsibilities: Introduce new products through initial development, trials, to engine set production. Support existing engine programs through quality and production issues. Develop new business opportunities through quotations and concurrent engineering. Compile customer validation brochures, technical reports, presentations, milestone plans etc. Introduce and develop new and existing manufacturing process with robust procedures. Building and maintain professional customer communications. Introduction of continuous process improvements on existing products to reduce scrap and increase yield. Supporting the facility’s scrap reduction programme. Run the solidification modelling capabilities. Work closely with manager, engineers and shop floor employees. Adhere to company policy and procedures, including SOX, code of conduct, health and safety. Undertake other duties as required by the Engineering Manager.
