Maintenance Engineer Continental Shift £34,000 - £37,000 A busy manufacturer in the Coventry area is looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to join their existing team. The Maintenance Engineer will be working a continental shift pattern to maintain a mixture of heavy machinery maximising manufacturing output and efficiency. Daily Duties of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician: - The maintenance engineer will Proactively address machinery breakdowns and improvement opportunities within a busy production plant. - The maintenance engineer will need Mechanical & Electrical fundamental engineering skills to ensure that they are able to identify and rectify machinery failures. - You will ideally have the ability to fault finding on PLC systems or using them as a diagnostic tool. - The Maintenance Engineer will work to complete Preventative work on plant machinery including: Induction furnaces, Gas furnaces, Variable speed drives, Conveyors, rollers and some basic robotics. - Where required you will work on facilities maintenance to ensure a functioning business as well as manufacturing plant. The Successful Maintenance Engineer Candidate: - The ideal candidate can be either electrically or Mechanically biased but should be willing and able to work within the opposite discipline safely regardless. - You will put safety first in everything you do and be willing to highlight other infringements for the safety of others. - The successful maintenance engineering candidate will be apprentice trained or qualified to City & guilds level 2. - The ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible with a want and willingness to learn.
