Overview

The Role Hutchison Ports Port of Felixstowe is Britain’s biggest and busiest container port. As part of our ongoing commitment to identify, develop and retain talent within the business we are looking to appoint an Advisor to join our Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to support the research, design and delivery of future workforce planning and resourcing in line with business strategy. Working predominantly on a project basis the Resourcing & Talent Advisor will identify, recommend and implement changes in relation to workforce planning, inclusion, diversity, induction, compensation, engagement and succession work streams. As an Advisor in this role you will be required to establish relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, present information for consideration and develop knowledge of the wider business and resourcing impacts. Key Requirements Identify, recommend and implement changes to support the development of the Employer Brand in the local and national market, taking in to account trends and impacts. Work collaboratively with Internal Communications and Engagement Manager and HR Service Centre Manager to ensure consistent branding and messaging both internally and externally. Support the delivery of the Diversity and Inclusion agenda, through proactive communication with Managers across the business and in researching opportunities to increase our impact in the wider labour market. Provide data regularly to the HR Service Centre Manager and in collaboration with the Senior Advisor to support the creation and regular delivery of dashboards to review progress across in improving diversity across the business. Engage with the Resource Office, Finance and Senior Managers to identify and analyse headcount, Relief and OT trends across different employee groups. Support the development of alternative work patterns to drive attraction and retention whilst ensuring delivery of departmental and business needs. Liaise with key stakeholders regarding the ongoing planning for resourcing needs across the business, providing guidance, challenging requirements and supporting the design of alternative solutions to meet business needs. Provide guidance and support to the HR Service Centre team and being a point of contact for stakeholders ensuring their requests and queries are dealt with in a timely manner. Support the review and analysis of audit and reporting. Work with HR Service Centre Manager to establish and deliver broader diversity campaigns with 3rd party organisations and across multiple platforms. Review business requirements to ensure cost-effective engagement of resources – e.g. temporary, fixed term and permanent staffing options. Support delivery of Employee Engagement, Talent Attraction and Schools engagement by organising HR attendance at internal and external events. Work with Learning & Development to ensure sufficient planning of relevant courses to meet delivery requirements of the operation. Provide information and data to the HR Service Centre Manager to support reporting and presentations for stakeholders and the management team in respect of resourcing and workforce planning. Provide up to date market analysis of local and national employers and Group businesses to support business cases for change in relation to specific projects. Who are we looking for? Suitable applicants will have: A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources or Recruitment focused role. Experience of working on complex projects requiring an inquisitive and analytical approach. Proven ability of researching and producing recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good MS Office skills, ability to use different tools to present information.
