Overview
My client are seeking Trade Finance front office Banking professional who will be reporting directly to the Head of Trade Finance & FI and generating new relationships with Financial Institutions. We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Trade Finance RM who would be able to uphold a conversation about Trade Finance products with clients and exposure to managing a portfolio of FIs. Also, be able to onboard them via KYC/ AML process and procedures. The role will be split 60% Trade and 40% FIs Job Purpose Develop and market trade finance products to customers and FIs by identifying opportunities in coordination with corporate RMs Maintain and develop active relationship with FI network and engage with banks for attracting their trade business and routing of export LCs through Establish extensive business contacts within the marketplace, act as primary contact point with customers and maintain regular dialogue Connect with other business units within the Bank and the wider bank to facilitate the cross-selling of full range of commercial bank products to customers and FIs Ensure compliance due diligence is performed on all active and new FI relationship including maintenance of RMA arrangements with the other banks Tasks and Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to corporate relationship managers for capturing trade business from their customers and prospects Expand trade business through the pursuit of leads and develop business with the current and new customers along with FI relationship Appraise potential trade opportunities and make appropriate comments and recommendations on business development strategies to the Department Head Co-ordinate with the RMs to ensure information needed for credit application, assessment, approval and assist in managing / supporting the proposals of any credit application Perform the preliminary credit review and research for the outlook of industry, FIs and customer related information Monitor local and international credit market issues to ensure adequate precautions are available to minimise the Bank's credit risk Provide an analysis of competitors and the benchmarks of the target market Undertake KYC/AML/CTF due diligence on all FI relationship including RMA relationships (existing and new) Increase income and expand trade portfolio by generating business leads and transactions from customers, RMs and FIs Identify prospect companies involved in international business that fit within the Bank’s Risk and Compliance criteria and establish/develop business with them Provide tailored training that will raise colleague awareness and understanding of trade specific issues/risks Interact with Trade Operations to structure trade transactions and resolve inquiries and solicit customer’s feedback on performance Provide reports and data analysis. Requirements Ideally from a European or Tier 1 Bank Degree or equivalent qualification Trade Finance Banking business experience of 5 years FI Relationship management experience of 2 years Relevant client management experience, necessary in performing the role Technical background and experience in implementing different financial instruments including letters of credit and open account solutions
