Overview

Business Analyst - Edinburgh Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Business Analyst on a temporary basis for 3 months with potential of extension. Working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and is within IR35 To succeed in this role, the selected candidate should have an analytical mind and be able to explain difficult concepts to nontechnical users. Essential Skills / Requirements: - Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills - Ability to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions - Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions - Excellent documentation skills to capture the results of your efforts - Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook - A track record of following through on commitments - A history of leading and supporting successful projects - Ability to effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management via reports and presentations Must obtain a Disclosure Scotland Competencies: - Data Governance - Time management - Self-starter - Effective and professional communication skills, written and verbal - Ability to prioritise tasks - Desirable Requirements - Knowledge of the planning system - Working in the public sector
