Quality Manager - Derby Area Salary - £35,000 to £40,000 per annum Working - Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 16:30 Holidays - 25 days plus statutory bank holidays per annum Our Clientis looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include monitoring and auditing the quality of all manufactured goods in the electronics industry. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in identifying defects, finding the cause of the defect and developing a solution. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Continuous Improvement of assembly line productivity, yield, quality and customer quality. Monitor and report manufacturing yields, workmanship / Supplier issues, and nonconforming material details. Drive and implement strong product quality system through supply chain. Identify Route cause and implement CAPA (corrective actions /preventative actions) A comprehensive understanding of ISO9001:2008 with Lead Auditing experience essential Monitoring, testing and inspecting products to make certain they meet specified Customer Requirements, ISO9001:2008 and Safety standards. Develop and deliver process solutions to simplify processes and remove operation costs. Design systems by which production quality can be checked in an on-going process. Work closely with production team to implement any new testing criteria or assembly methods developed. Resolve problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution. Coordinate and respond to all correction actions with both internal departments as well as with external vendors Good interpersonal and communication skills required to represent quality in customer meetings and in conference calls. Advise and support Quality Inspectors in their day-to-day activities ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience within an electronics manufacturing environment ideally with a professional qualification in QA preferred. BSI audit experience would also be very beneficial Solid understanding of manufacturing process, methodologies and environment. Proven knowledge of Quality Assurance & Process Control.
