Workshop Technician - CNC, milling, lathes Herts Permanent position, daytime hours, Monday to Friday Competitive salary bonus and benefits, career development up to £30k dependent of experience Working with one of the world's leading medical technology companies you will be responsible for the manufacture of orthopaedic implants and associated instrumentation and tooling. Your key responsibilities Manufacture of orthopaedic implants and associated instrumentation and tooling. Working within specified tolerances and engineering standards. Using precision measuring equipment in the manufacturing environment. Meeting dispatch date deadlines. Work within safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment. To work well both as an individual, as well as a team member. Liaising with design office team to advise and assist on production issues. Maintain, adjust, repair and clean workshop equipment and machinery as required. What are we looking for? 3 years working in a similar environment. A time served apprenticeship within the engineering industry is desirable. Very good working knowledge of milling machines and centre lathes; both manual and CNC and very good knowledge of cylindrical and surface grinding is essential. Qualified to a BTEC ONC in engineering would be ideal, but a minimum City and Guilds is required.
