Overview
Our client is a leading independent media planning and buying agency who create award winning and inspiring ideas that deliver transparent and quantifiable content for blue chip clients. The organisation has private equity investment, is profitable and has a sub £50m revenue. The business enjoys an enviable reputation and has a strong market position, particularly with social impact clients. The CEO is spearheading a growth agenda and is seeking a Finance Director to partner him on this journey and ultimately lead a successful exit. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the CEO, Executive Chair and other colleagues helping to drive revenue and profit growth Provide financial leadership to optimise financial performance and decision making within the business Oversee all statutory reporting as well as internal management reporting and business analysis Work closely with the Private Equity Investors and Banks Take the lead in arranging all insurance cover Oversee working capital management to include treasury, tax and cash management (billings) Assist in contract negotiation and procurement contracts Maintain an efficient and robust controls environment Key member of Senior Leadership Team. Board Director This is a fantastic opportunity for a positive, solution focused and high energy resilient individual to really add value and impact at a senior level to an already successful business. Ideal candidates will have previous experience of being the No 1 in Finance, i.e.: a stand-alone Finance Director or CFO previously, and should have worked in a professional services environment previously, whether media or other people related industry. Private equity experience would be a definite advantage as would transaction and M&A experience. This role is highly visible and will require a finance professional with both a strategic mindset and the ability and willingness to roll up his or her sleeves and get firmly entrenched in the day to day detail of the finance function and the organisation more broadly.
