POSITION: Housing Support Worker SALARY: Band 5 (£22,066 - £24,693) per annum BENEFITS: Company Pension,25 days’ leave per annum and Bank Holidays, plus an additional one day per year up to 30 days. HOURS: Fixed term until August 2020 Full time, 35 hours per week LOCATION: King’s Court, King Street, Bristol BS1 4EE CLOSING DATE: Monday 30th March 9am DESCRIPTION: Our client is a registered charity formed in 1987 by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. It is estimated that the organisation has helped over 40,000 people with alcohol, drug, gambling and mental health issues and has saved an estimated £50 million in costs to the community. The organisation is now actively seeking to recruit a full-time, experienced Housing Support Worker . The role is offered on a fixed term contract until August 2020. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded charity. JOB ROLE (not limited to): The successful candidate will provide housing-related support to clients in the charity’s substance misuse accommodation. Working within the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), you will support clients around maintaining accommodation, developing recovery capital and increasing independence. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Experience of providing a service to vulnerable groups Experience of delivering supported housing services. Experience of delivering services to residents’ housing and accommodation. In-depth and up to date knowledge of Welfare Benefits System. A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial. Possess excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships. Be able to adhere to all charity policy and health and safety. Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
