Overview
Production Planner First Call Contract Services are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for our clients busy manufacturing operation based Thurmaston, Leicester, LE4. This role will control the day to day factory production and JIT material ordering to ensure product is manufactured effectively and efficiently to ensure accurate lead time. This opportunity is being recruited for on a permanent basis. Immediate interviews are available. Candidate skills will include: · Excellent communication skills to deal and communicate to all levels of staff · Computer literate with excellent level of MS Word and Excel · Experience working within a production and manufacturing environment · Must work well under pressure and manage a busy workload · High level of attention to detail Candidate duties will include: · Plan all incoming orders by using Rough-cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) to ensure planning and capacity for factory is optimized · Distribute a daily revised production schedule · Monitor manufacturing status throughout the day to ensure scheduled production deadlines are met · Organise just-in-time material stock-turn based on manufacturing time and supplier lead for order requirements · Understand logistic capacity and delivery routes to ensure accurate lead times · Ensure all relevant ISO9001:2015, BS EN 10077, and BS EN 6375 quality procedures are documented and maintained · Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve production and manufacturing issues Candidates will ideally come from a current production planning role. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm. Starting salary is £26kpa plus excellent company benefits.
