Overview

Production Manager Do you have a background strategically controlling the production and assembly of components and systems? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing and production environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you As Production Manager you will be responsible for managing people, motivating and leading team members to achieve world class manufacturing standards in Health & Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale. Leading improvement of both manufacturing and business processes. Fostering a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement. Developing Supervisors, Team Leaders and Team Members capable of driving the business forward. Key responsibilities: Effectively manage team members in line with company policy and procedures. Implement & maintain the Health & Safety management system Responsible for adhering to the Management System (ISO 9001) Lead improvement of Quality Systems (Customer and internal processes) Implement & lead Takt time production across Value Stream Implement and lead performance improvement across Value Stream Develop, lead & improve the Daily Management System (Leader Standard Work) Audit, coach, support & improve Team Member to achieve world class performance Performance Measure: H&SE (Loss Time Incidents, near misses etc.) Total Quality Issues (Customer Issues, customer feedback etc.) Quality (Defects Per Unit, supplier defects, internal defects, rework, ISO compliance etc) Delivery (Run rate, Lead time, schedule achievement, OTD, line stops etc) Cost (Units/day/man, budget, inventory turns etc) Morale/Engagement/development (daily improvements, problem solving etc) People/HR (absence, lateness etc) Value Stream / Departmental performance (Eff) Experience required: HNC or equivalent in Manufacturing or Engineering related subject Production Management Experience (at appropriate level) Proven experience of implementing company policies & procedures, managing Health & Safety, managing in a change environment, forward planning / project management.
