Overview
Our client, an international bank, is looking for a Commercial Property Para Legal for their London Head Office. Main functions of the Job: To support the security charging process - with a focus on freehold and leasehold UK properties. Key responsibility will be drafting legal documents. To ensure properties are charged within agreed timescales. To ensure property stock lists are up to date with all title and relevant legal information. Serving as a point of contact on commercial, non-commercial, syndication and mortgage (conventional & Islamic) loans, bridging finance; partnering with the business segments to oversee timely funding and processing of loan documentation (post sanction, initial funding) in accordance with the credit agreement terms and operational procedures. Main Duties: Responsible for implementation and execution of all loan facilities, including all matters relating to documentation; e.g. facility letters, legal charges, personal guarantees, assignment of rental income, charge over deposit, etc. Working on a varied caseload including Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases Communicating with clients, both by telephone and face to face Drafting legal documents Ability to manage your own workload as well as work well as part of a team Prepare documents to go with Certificates of Title. Work with Solicitors to ensure they have all the documentation they require. Liaise with Solicitors on all property issues. To finalise and obtain all relevant authorised signatures for all final Legal Charges / COT's certificates and confirmations. Maintain accurate and up to date files on each property. Maintain a centralised database itemising details and status of each property including the applicable valuation basis. Be point of contact for security release. Liaise with business and agent banks for syndicated lending; e.g. LMA documentation, payments, rollovers, settlements, etc. Responsible for safe custody of legal documentation and maintenance of Security Register. Monitoring compliance with terms and conditions of the credit facility agreements. Manage the day-to-day work within the established Operational metrics for the organisation, within the defined Service level agreements. Key Qualities, Skills and Experience: Knowledge of Equation (loan system) desirable Ability to interpret credit agreements, LMA documents Knowledge of Islamic finance Knowledge of Syndicated lending Proven competency of working within a Financial Services environment, ideally within an Operations/Credit Administration team Loans administration experience Understanding of Mortgage loan documentation At least 1 years' experience within the industry Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude Great client control and relationship building skills Attention to detail, Outward Looking, Innovative Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
