Overview
The Company Enterprise scale organisation is looking to recruit an experienced people manager to lead an established windows server team. The Role The Server Team Manager will be primarily responsible for maintaining a highly motivated team who pride themselves in quality and excellence of service. Specifically you will Support and manage individual and team development to ensure that services remain current, up to date and provide value for money. Provide technical leadership in the relevant specialism of the team. Manage projects within the Team to ensure implementation of service improvements and new systems Engage and represent the service with the clients as required Develop and maintain efficient management of all systems under the control of the service. Maximise the availability of systems by providing pro-active support and a rapid response when problems are identified. Plan individual workloads of team members to meet times scales for achieving project completion. Lead, inspire and motivate others to high performance by agreeing clear goals and objectives, providing support and guidance and creating opportunities for development Contribute to the development of a culture of high engagement, where staff are empowered and entrusted to provide the best services for users Demonstrate a consistent leadership style which; engages, enables and empowers others uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries. The Requirements You will be an IT professional who has significant experience in leading technical teams to deliver high quality services. Having a technical background, you will be proficient in supporting the delivery of service level agreements, ideally within an ITIL environment. As a leader with highly developed communication skills, you will also have the ability to matrix manage in a complex organization as well as being a team player with strong drive for quality. You must possess a professional approach to working with individuals both internally and external to the organisation
