Overview
IT Systems Engineer needed for a multi-award wining engineering and environmental design consultancy. This is a great opportunity to work for a company with a proven reputation for technical excellence. As the IT Systems Engineer you will be working as a valued member of the IT team to design, deliver, maintain and support the current IT solutions. You will have every opportunity to put your staple on the current solutions and influence improvements across the IT department. The team is small and tight knit so there is a real emphasis on teamwork. The environment is fast paced but, it will provide an enjoyment and sense of satisfaction. This role will be suitable for someone already with a solid background as an IT Systems Engineer who is used to delivering and supporting businesses solutions. Or, it would also be suitable to someone who is a in a similar role at a junior position who is looking to step up. Your standard responsibilities look like: - Server and network infrastructure - Information protection and archiving - Communications platforms - Client, server build and delivery process - Security patching - Creation and review of IT policies and processes - Troubleshooting complex IT infrastructure - Mentoring junior staff What skills are necessary for the role: - DNS, DHCP, GPO Windows Active/Domain Services - Microsoft Office 365 - Azure Services - SQL 2012 - VMWare/HyperV - Endpoint, Email and Web protection - Networking and routing Infrastructure Salary is paying up to £30,000 This is an in-depth role, the above is just a small snippet of what is expected. However, I don't want to bore you with bullet points. At the end of the day, you know more than anyone what is expected from an IT Systems Engineer. You will be required to travel to different sites but, you will be mainly based at the Nottingham City Centre site.
