Overview
Global Accounting Network are working exclusively with a luxury retail business whose products can be seen worn by some of the most recognisable faces in the worlds of music, film and design. The company produces the highest quality items, all finished by hand, using a wealth of traditional craftsmanship in its own factory in Italy. This is a prominent position in the company’s head office in North West London and offers the successful candidate a strong career opportunity where they can develop and progress. Working closely with the CFO, this is a highly visible role that requires gravitas, a can-do attitude and a flexible approach. Key Responsibilities: Management of the day-to-day activities of the finance function; Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reports adhering to set deadlines; Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports; Assist the CFO in financial modelling and analysis, including budgets, forecasts and cashflow; General ad hoc reporting for the Board of Directors; Analysis of inventory margins to maximise profitability; To ensure all relevant journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and all other balance reconciliations are processed; Preparation of year-end Financial Accounts and liaison with Auditors; Preparation of monthly and quarterly statutory returns, including VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales Lists; To work with the finance team and act as a mentor to provide assistance and advice where required. The successful candidate will have: Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with previous financial control and management reporting experience; Demonstrable experience of managing a small accounting team; A confident self-starter with the ability to operate within a growing business; Ability to act as an agent for change through the implementation of new processes and procedures; Experience of accounting software, including Sage and Exchequer preferable.
