Role: Head of IT Location: Birmingham Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 DOE A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of IT to join a leading organisation based in Birmingham. The Head of IT is a leadership role accountable for the successful delivery of software and IT support infrastructure for my client, Managing a team of developers and IT specialists. Responsibilities: Head of IT Effective Planning, Management and Controlling of the IT Budgets Ensure proper skill development of staff Responsibility for a security, compliance and high availability of all IT systems Deliver both backlog and forward-facing IT and systems integration projects, to align with business needs and across internal stakeholders and which conform with Brexit, Carrier and regulatory and governance frameworks Manage, steer and oversee external service providers effectively and within budgets Build and lead a team of software developers and IT specialists Responsibility for a security, compliance and high availability of all IT systems Responsibility for effective collaboration with the business stakeholders in an agile environment Constant Improvement of the application landscape and architecture Development of an IT Strategy that is derived from the business model and which interfaces clearly with business requirements and creation of an implementation plan to reflect this Close cooperation with IT departments of partners and both internal and external stakeholders in order to guarantee high and smooth system integrations Contribute to risk, compliance, IT security and data protection initiatives Compliance with all company procedures and policies Skills and experience: Head of IT Ideally, familiarity and experience of IT framework and landscape Experience of operating an IT department Experience of operating IT and systems integration with insurance or Financial services would be a preference Proven track record in management and steering of IT projects and programmes Knowledge of and ability to manage and direct in-house and external SQL and Web Developer resources.
