QA/QC Engineer
Overview
Our Client who are a leading EPC engineering contractor have secured a multi-million-pound contract on the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear new build in Somerset. The contract which is in excess of £60 million, will cover; execution design, supplier management, engineering design, fabrication and installation of piping systems up to 2025. We currently have a vacancy for a QA/QC Engineer to be based in Bristol. Responsibilities & Qualifications: Responsibilities: Reviewing and assisting with the full Quality Plans and Programmes. Ensuring the project activities comply with QA standards & procedures. Working with Project Managers in establishing quality management plans. Carrying out surveillances to the agreed plan, of Project and Contractor Quality Plans, polices & procedures. Maintaining awareness of relevant procedures and changes. Point of contact for advice on Quality Plans and Quality arrangements. Identifying and lead continuous improvement opportunities within the Quality Management System. Monitoring quality plans, method statements and other procedures. Monitoring change management including technical & engineering queries. Complete reports on quality performance by identifying good practices. Qualifications: Competence, knowledge & experience gained from an engineering discipline preferably mechanical / piping technical, qualified to HNC level or equivalent as a minimum. ISO9001 Internal Auditor. Proficient in MS Office. Having obtained Security Clearance would be an advantage. Fluent English – written & verbal. Awareness of Nuclear new build standards & procedures beneficial. Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
