Overview

Credit Data Analyst A rapidly growing, FCA regulated financial services organisation are looking for a Credit Data Analyst to support the Head of Credit Risk in the design, build and maintenance of the risk and profitability models. As an integral part of the organisation's success, you will be responsible for the credit risk management data capability; helping to predict and improve the portfolio's success by optimising data solutions, delivering value to the business and providing ongoing value to the end customer. You will need to be natural problem solver with Advanced Excel experience, working knowledge of SQL as well as Python, R or similar. You'll be working in an entrepreneurial environment with the opportunity to develop your skill set in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for: A variety of business-critical operations including combatting fraud, setting product pricing, underwriting loans, segmenting customers, and predicting portfolio performance. Develop regular reporting solutions to allow the Head of Credit Risk and the rest of senior management to closely monitor the performance of new and existing customers' risk Propose data-driven product changes to improve customer experience and company profitability, and partner with the wider organisation to implement solutions Monitor the portfolio to identify trends, and support the Head of Credit Risk in meetings to share performance updates and analysis Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify the root causes of unexpected change or trends in the data and delve deeper into potential issues, understanding and reporting on the cause Carry out any day-to-day support using SQL Server The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong skills in Advanced Excel and other statistical analysis and modelling tools, having worked with large data sets Knowledge of risk assessment and risk monitoring/ data analytics, in a credit risk related role would be beneficial 2 years working with relational databases and SQL Experience with R or Python Experience within Financial Services is essential, ideally consumer credit or lending, particularly within the challenges of lending responsibly Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced, unstructured environment
