Role: Business Analyst/Technical Consultant Location: Edinburgh Salary: Competitive Benefits Package: Competitive Our client, a highly regarded global software provider that specialises in software for financial services clients are looking for a number of Business Technical consultants to join them on a permanent basis. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the success of the business. In this role you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. You will perform gap analysis and solution designs as well as being involved in running meetings and delivering presentations. This role is suited to someone coming from a computer science background who has a technical mindset but still keen to work in a role that requires lots of communication with colleagues and clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking learn and develop and have exposure to the way multiple organisations work. Experience required for the role: Previous experience in technology change or business change projects is would be highly beneficial, ideally within financial services. A positive "can do" attitude with an eagerness to learn and develop on your career. Excellent communication skills, confident at representing the organisation you work for. Practical knowledge of querying languages (SQL, Pl/SQL preferred) Understanding of software development and implementation cycle. This role will require some travel to meet clients which may require overnight stay from time to time, candidates applying will need to be able to do so (expenses paid of course).
