Overview
Morgan Hunt are currently seeking a Finance officer to join a fantastic University based in London. This is a new position and the post-holder will play a key role in the management, maintenance and development of financial claims. Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will maintain and develop six monthly financial claims with supporting evidence for the universities financial claim, and liaison with the First Level Controller. Key Responsibilities Provide efficient financial administration to support the preparation and submission of accurate 6 monthly financial claims Working alongside the finance manager, the finance officer would support the collation and checking of partners financial claims on the system Checking all payments amounts for each partner Working alongside the Finance manager and central finance teams to monitor income and expenditure Complete journals on the University financial system (Agresso) relating to expenditure Producing routine reports as required from the general ledger and modules in Agresso Liaise with other finance teams in the university to ensure eligibility of expenditure, efficient procurement and defrayment of costs To attend project, university meetings and partners meetings and events Person Specification Experience of management of the financial aspects of high value contracts Proven skills in successful risk management and project management Excellent partnership working skills, including consultation and negation Ability to deliver objectives within agreed timescales Experience of working and influencing internal and external stakeholders Good understanding of Higher Education Sector Strong customer service ethos Good working knowledge of financial systems (eg Agresso) and accounting systems Fluency in both French and English is desirable but not essential AAT level 3 Accounting Qualification or relevant experience Morgan Hunt is a multi award winning Employment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
