Herts Good Care is a non-profit company, supporting adult care providers across Hertfordshire to fill their permanent positions. We are currently working with In-Home Care to find a Care Assistant to join their team. Job Shift: Days, Evenings and Weekends Location: Welwyn Garden City Type of Provider: Home Care (Domiciliary) , Live in Care Assisting older adults living with Dementia, End Of Life, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Physical Disability, Sensory Impairment Salary: £10.20 11.60 Per Hour Hours of Work: Minimum 16 Driving Required: Yes Contract Type: Full Time Contract Part Time Contract 0 Hours Contract About the company As one of the top 3% of domicillary care agencies in the UK with CQC "outstanding rating" we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our In-Home care team in Hertford bringing us in Line with our other three dedicated offices in Hampshire. We offer above the national average with pay starting at £10.20 going to £11.60 for evenings and weekends, we also pay double time on Christmas day, boxing day and New years day, offering time and a half for bank holidays When joining the In-Home care team you will be rewarded by signing up to Herts Academy and can instantiantly start using its many discounts and savings. We offer excellent training and qualifications to support progression through the sector. There are numerous in house initiatives such as refer a friend and be rewarded £50, payment incentives up to £75, for having excellent 'best practice' checks conducted and passed. We pay 25p per mile for travel from when you leave your home to your last visit, and the minimum visit time is 30 minutes. Working for a fully supportive team who have the staffs interests as well as client interest at heart We will initially hire you on a 0 hour contract, with the option to move into guaranteed hour contracts as the business builds up. What does the role of Care Assistant involve? To provide excellent best practice care and support to individuals over the age of 18 in their own home covering different aspects of daily care activities Safeguarding clients provide intimate care when required Provide and prepare nutritional support Keep up to date records of care provided Administer medications when needed ( after completing training and comptency checks) Provide social support to clients Assist with any care needs as per care plan suggests May involve light duties of house support such as shopping, cleaningor even just having a cup of tea and a chat What makes the perfect Care Assistant?
