Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description We are seeking a number of CAREGivers to join our friendly team. We are seeking people who can offer us a mixture of shifts covering days, evenings and alternate week-ends. Our shifts generally run between 8.00am - 2.00pm and 4.00pm - 10.00pm but we are flexible and will work with our new CAREGivers around their lifestyles, within reason. We are seeking people who have their own transport so that they can easily get to clients, who for the most part live locally but can live in remote locations, making a car a necessity. We are keen to speak with people who are already working within a domicilary care environment or perhaps a care home setting and want a new challenge. We are equally keen to speak to people who have never worked within a CAREGiving role but who think they have the skills and talents to build a successful career. We offer Award Winning Training covering all aspects of CAREGiving including End of Life Care, Dementia Training, CPR, Use of Hoists, everything that you may need to know to successfully support and assist our clients. The training is on-going because we care about your professional development. When you start with us we start you off gently, shadowing an experienced person until we are sure you are ready to go it alone and then you gradually build up your hours working around your family and home life or other committments you may have. Qualifications No formal qualifications are required just a lot of common sense, ability to take your responsibilities seriously and be willing to learn. We do though insist that you have your own transport and also clear verbal communication skills. Some of our clients Care Plans require frequent visits to hospital and you need to be able to take them and some have hearing loss and need to be able to understand what is being said.
