Overview

Join us as a Deputy Manager to lead our team at our exceptional children’s home. It’s a great opportunity to hone your leadership skills, assisting the Registered Manager with the home management, taking charge in their absence. Every day, you’ll help with operations, to supervise staff, handle admin and check casework records. You’ll also be directly involved in case conferences, reviews and planning. You will also be required to work shifts, including evenings and weekends. To be our Deputy Manager, you’ll need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare and have experience in a supervisory capacity. You must hold a Level 3 Diploma qualification in Residential Childcare (England) and also have held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 12 months. The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is desirable. If you do not hold this you will need to be willing to obtain this and we will provide the necessary support. You should also be committed to child-centered practice, have proven administrative skills and a wealth of childcare knowledge. Resilient and good with people, you’ll have the judgement and confidence to make key decisions. You’ll need to be happy to work unsociable hours, be flexible to the needs of the home and work to a rota.
