Overview

Transport Planner Location: Birmingham Shifts/Hours: 6pm to 2am & 10pm to 6am (Flexibility required) Salary: £26-28,000 Shift pay My client, a leading 3PL is seeking 2 Transport Planners for a new night shift. Working within a busy transport office, responsible for 20-30 drivers covering both Air & Ocean transport. Requirements o Experienced in a planning role with a good UK knowledge preferred o My client would consider a candidate with experience as a LGV Driver wanting to enter into a busy transport office. o Duties will include planning of drivers, allocation and liaison with multiple depots and drivers during the night o Planning vehicles and arranging freight movement o Must have attention to detail and be able to produce clear reports as required o Have a basic awareness of transport costs o Strong Microsoft knowledge o Excellent Customer Service skills o Basic Transport Health and Safety understanding
