Credit Control - Legal. £highly competitive Previous credit control experience within the legal sector is essential for this varied opportunity with a well-established law practice's City of London office. This role will initially be an twelve month fixed term contract. Duties: Working closely with the Credit Control Manager and another Assistant Credit Control Manager, to assist in the day-to-day management of the firm's credit control function Develop a plan to tackle the level of global debt over 1 year. Implement the plan by proactive engagement with debtors and staff and partners to secure payment or settlement. Proactively engage fee earners and partners to resolve issues and to collect debts over 1 year or reach settlement with clients - attend regular meetings with fee earners and partners to agree collection plans Ensure the credit control database is updated regularly and maintained with current activity summary. Maintaining a well organised credit control function, ensuring adequate staffing to provide cover so that the Credit Control team can chase debts and respond to all related queries in a timely and efficient manner Ensuring active management of the firm's aged debt to meet collections and lock up targets The successful candidate will demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of credit control processes and effective collection techniques and a strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT.
