Overview
Robertson Bell are partnering with a national and highly interesting Government organisation to recruit for a new Finance Manager to be based in London, working directly with the Head of Finance. The Finance Manager will be a single point of contact for the organisation within a hybrid role combining both Financial and Management Accounting, in a hands on environment that will allow you to 'stamp your mark' on the organisation and further develop your skills. Specifically, you will be responsible for; Financial analysis to support reports for the organisation to make key decisions moving forward Lead on the preparation of the statutory accounts and year-end reports Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and colleagues from varied departments A key point of contact for the auditors, providing information and recommendations to streamline procedures and processes To consistently review the cash flow model, ensuring the projections are accurate Confidently deputise for the Head of Finance where necessary The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or finalist (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) with a solid understanding or accounting principles and financial controls. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively and independently as a desire to manage a small team. Experience of Public Sector/Not-for-Profit accounting standards is an advantage and the opportunity would suit an individual which is looking to step up in their career or someone who is working a similar position but looking for a new challenge.
